Death does not exist. It is only a figment of our imagination.
Throughout the millennia, societies and cultures have wondered what happens before we die, as well as where we came from. But let's approach it from a different angle. What if life just exists eternally? What if we just come into a physical life for the fun of it? Most people would say, "Well life isn't really all that fun." That can be understandable given that many people, especially in American culture, struggle most of their lives for marginally satisfactory outcomes when, or even if, they reach retirement. However, bear with me for a second and let's assume that life is eternal. If you have lived for forever, and will continue to live throughout eternity, then would 70-80 human years really be all that unbearable in the grand scheme of things? If you look at it from a much broader perspective, where a human life doesn't even amount to the blink of an eye in how much you've really lived, you can look at it almost like hiking.
For this example, we'll use hikes found in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Let's say you're unhappy with life. It sucks. Problems everywhere and nothing seems to be going right. Think of this as hiking Echo Canyon on Camelback Mountain. It's hard, it's intense and for many people, you just want it to be over. Then you finally reach the bottom and what happens? Everything's ok. You're back to your "normal" life and rather than looking back at the hike as something you'll never do again, you look back on it with appreciation and can smile about the experience. That's how it is when you "die." Except you don't really die, hence the quotation marks. Instead, it's just more of a transition back into your natural state of happiness and joy. No more fears, doubts, worries, guilt, etc. Just like when you're done hiking there's no more shortness of breath, sweating, soreness, etc.
So maybe after a day or two you're itching to do another hike. Except the last one really beat you up and so you want to take it a little easier this time. So you head to Pinnacle Peak for a short, sweet and easy walk around a couple of hills. Imagine that's how it is from that bigger perspective that you have. If you just lived a very difficult life, maybe you just want to take it easy for this next one. So you choose to live in a comfortable environment with a loving family whose focus is just to be happy. And when it's all over, maybe you're itching to mix it up again. Or maybe you just want to relax and enjoy watching it all happen as other people live out their own lives.
Point is, life is eternal. When you can get a picture from the grand scheme of things, it not only makes sense, but it makes life much more fun. You'll feel more inspired to take risks. You won't be so afraid of the consequences. And most importantly, you can start to thank all the difficulties that life has brought you. You came here for it and if you can learn to appreciate it, life will unfold beautifully for you.
